Tayannah Lee McQuillar studied anthropology at the City University of New York and has studied the magio-religious practices of Black America. She is a researcher of religion, esoterica, and mysticism. She is also the author of several books, including Rootwork and The Sibyls Oraculum: Oracle of the Black Doves. She lives in New York City.
